Schneider Electric Releases New Square D® Clipsal® Decorator Keypads and Wall Plates - 5/17/2007

PALATINE, Ill. — May 17, 2007 — Schneider Electric announces its Square D® Clipsal® lighting control line has expanded to include new Decorator versions of its popular Neo and Saturn keypads and wall plates. The new keypads provide the same features as a standard Square D Clipsal keypad, but in a format designed to conserve wall space and fit with existing wall boxes — ideal for retrofit installations. Up to four Decorator keypads can be mounted side by side, allowing 16 buttons in the space of a standard four-gang plate.

"Our new Decorator keypads and wall plates provide even more flexibility and customization to our lighting control system," said Brad Wills, Director New Business Development, Installation Systems & Controls at Schneider Electric. "These space-saving versions include all the functionality of our original Saturn and Neo keypads, but their space-saving design allows them to be easily retrofitted into existing switch space."

Each Decorator keypad includes distinctive styling designed to match standard Neo and Saturn keypads and touch screens, and button configurations include multipoint switching, dimming and scene control. LED indicators reflect the status of each button, and built-in infrared receivers allow for operation from a Square D Clipsal hand-held remote control. The new keypads meet NEMA Standards WD-1, WD-6. The Neo Decorator keypads also offer custom color combinations available on request.

The new Square D Clipsal Decorator wall plates in either Neo or Saturn styling add a touch of flair to any décor with their sleek contemporary styling. The wall plates offer screwless design for easy installation, while a simple two-piece kit allows for easy retrofitting. The new wall plates also meet NEMA Standards WD-1, WD-6.

The new Decorator keypads and wall plates will be available in May 2007 through select Square D/Schneider Electric distributors. For more information, visit www.squaredlightingcontrol.com or call 1-888-SQUARED.
