ResidentialResidential lighting control systems can be designed to control a single room or the entire home. This means lighting can be dimmed or switched to create lighting scenes for time-of-day or specific activities.Lighting loads are connected to a dimming/relay enclosure and keypads are placed at the owner’s choice of locations. So, with just a touch of a button the room lighting levels automatically adjust to the desired levels. One press of a button turns all lighting off. Keypads can be activated via wireless remote control allowing the lighting scenes to be activated from any part of the room. Whole-house lighting control quite simply is the process of connecting all of the lighting loads in the home to the dimming/relay panel and placing keypads though out the home at convenient locations. These keypads can be programmed to recall scenes for a single room, or control the whole house. This flexibility allows the homeowner to create custom lighting scenes, pathways, panic buttons, “all off” and more. Many options are available that can be integrated into the whole-house lighting system which will automatically activate these whole house functions such as time clock control, occupancy sensors, wireless remotes and more.
