Microelectronics manufacturing can benefit from the same type of schedule based lighting control as any other manufacturing facility.  Powerlink schedule based control will turn off lighting when a facility is not in use, but allow the lighting to be overridden on for discreet time periods when maintenance or cleaning requires.

However, Powerlink systems have proven uniquely capable of aiding in other ways.  The special clean rooms required by the processes in these facilities require and elaborate system of fans and blowers which must be started up and shut down in an orderly sequence.  The advanced Powerlink controller has been successfully used for this application, with the exclusive Powerlink 3-pole circuit breaker actually operating the motor.  Using standard Powerlink panels eliminates the need to design, document, and install custom control cabinets for the same purpose.
